Shipping/Handling Charges
We are sensitive to high shipping and handling charges. We put as much into a shipping container as the Postal Service will allow (we've been warned about stuffing in too much). If shipping is less than charged, we will refund the difference to your credit card or by check with your order.
We ship primarily by US Postal Service flat-rate containers: envelopes, regular and large boxes. There are three USPS rate categories: domestic U.S.; Canada/Mexico; and, other international. Flannel, brushed and double-wide fabric are twice the bulk of normal weight and therefore half the yardage shown below.
- Up to 8 yards of normal-weight fabric will ship in an envelope.
- 9 to 20 yards of normal-weight fabric will ship in a small box.
- 21 to 30 yards of normal-weight fabric will ship in a large box.
- Over 30 yards of normal normal-weight fabric will ship in combinations of boxes and envelopes and be calculated and shown at checkout.
For unusually large fabric orders or special shipping instructions, please contact us by phone or email and we'll discuss the actual shipping charges by the shipper of your choice. Actual shipping charges will be shown at checkout after you entering your address. As of 1/1/2009, shipping containers are charged as follows:
