About Us
Our home is on a small farm in Appling, a rural Georgia town where
we’ve lived since 1988 with our menagerie of
dogs and cats (They come and go out here in the country!).
Our journey began years ago in California, where my husband and I
were born and raised, and has taken us from sea to shining sea and
even across our great northern border (brrrr).

Being petite, I learned to sew at the age of twelve just to have stylish clothes that fit. My Grandmother taught me on her old Singer sewing machine. I continued to make most of my own clothes through my teenage years. At college, it was a little hard to lug that old singer around campus. But, when we first married, my husband enjoyed his new source of custom fitted shirts. After our children were born in the mid 70’s, I had little time or energy to sew or do many of my other hobbies. Years later, I realized how much I missed my art and sewing. So I started back painting and making quilts. I just couldn’t stay away from my hobbies very long. All-in-all sewing has taught me many lessons. Mostly good -- except for that time I sewed my finger and had to go to the emergency room.

Both our children are married and have have given us three beautiful grandchildren, two feisty little boys and a darling little girl. I’ve always wanted to have my own shop. My husband, Steven, writes software and is our Webmaster. So, here we are on the internet. Please look around at what we have to offer. We welcome your suggestions or requests for anything you don’t see on the website.
